Job Brief: Small tree removal
I had 3 small trees and 12 old roses removed.( 2 Salix and a Ceanothus).
Mathew and Alex (C) did a great job. They managed to remove the trees with minimal disturbance to other planting. They were very pleasant, professional and helpful. Job Brief: Garden Transformation
Craig’s team were professional and courteous during the time that they were here and I would like to particularly mention Scott and Alan who were great.
Work carried out included the installation of a extensive new patio area with flower beds around the patio and fantastic red cedar wood screens at either end. In addition, large flower beds were created to the rear of the garden with a seating area and pea gravel walkway introduced. We are very happy with the work carried out and we would definitely use them again in the future.

Job Brief: Garden tidy up
Spruce Gardening provided 2 fantastic gardeners (sorry didn’t get their names) to do a ‘tidy up’ in my garden. They were professional, asked questions about what I wanted, then got to work and my goodness how they worked. They were on the property for around 6 hours and I don’t think they stopped once. To let you know the scale of the job: my grass was so high it took them 4 goes to cut it, and they took away around 8 (or 9, or 10) huge bags filled with garden waste. I still cannot quite believe the difference they have made.
I would not say that Spruce were cheap, but the professionalism displayed, and hard work, politeness, from the gardeners was superlative. You have to pay for quality, and that’s what I got.Alison, East Lothian EH21
Job Brief: Build and replace a fence
Great service, the team came out and assessed what needed to be done – gave me a couple of different options and then the new fence was custom made and installed on-site. Very professional job, and they left no mess either! Thoroughly recommend Spruce.

Job Brief: Replacement of post, tidy up of beds, supply and installation of mulch
Firstly Craig came around to give me excellent advice on how to improve the state of my garden. Subsequently I have had a new garden post installed by the landscape team (sorry have forgotten names) and 2 separate visits from the gardening team, firstly to initially tidy up the garden, cut back shrubs and treat beds with herbicide (Euan and colleagues) and secondly to put down mulch (Matthew and colleague). All work was done as scheduled and to a very high standard and far exceeded my expectations. All the staff I spoke to were very courteous and very eager to please. All were a credit to the company.
I have already asked Craig to come back to discuss the next phase of the work, and what ongoing maintenance I would like.

Job Brief: Garden Design – total garden makeover
After being left with a garden resembling the Somme by a previous contractor we engaged Spruce Garden Services to rip out what had already been done and then transform our garden and drive into our dream garden. The job took around 11 weeks and at various times we had between 1 and 11 guys on site. The outcome is just how we hoped it would be.
It wasn’t a straightforward job but everything we asked for was accommodated. Not everything was done perfectly, what job ever is, but whenever it was not right, then it was fixed without a problem. That to me is the measure of a good company. During the job, Sam and Willie made suggestions on how it could be improved, its the small details that make the difference between someone doing a job and someone who takes pride in their job. The Spruce team take a pride in their job. We even got some advice on planting schemes, which were out of scope. After the job, a Marshalls rep came to inspect their work showing that they are subject to independent oversight. I am pleased to say that Marshalls had no issues.
I am not an easy person to please but would have no hesitation in recommending Spruce to anyone. There are too many names to mention here but our core team of Sam, Gregor and of course bossman Willie deserve a special mention.Stuart Alexander, Falkirk FK2
